Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Preston. The successful candidate will provide support to the class teacher and pupils in a KS1 setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting lessons for all pupils
  • Differentiate support methods to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Aid the class teacher
  • Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school
  • Attend CPD sessions (Where relevant/required)
  • Safeguarding pupils (As per school's policies)
Requirements:
  • A teaching assistant with relevant qualifications or experience
  • Recent experience working as a teaching assistant in a Primary School or Nursery
  • Up to date knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 Curriculum and methods to support this
  • Strong behaviour management, strong classroom presence and awareness of school policies
  • Flexibility to work with children of differing abilities and ensure high attainment in the class

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
