Electrical Network Specialist Job Description

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is recruiting for an experienced HV electrician to join our team as an Electrical Network Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a time-served electrician to develop their skills and expertise in HV testing and asset condition monitoring.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Applying MV/HV asset condition monitoring techniques to ensure safer and more reliable networks.
  • Authorising High Voltage (HV) testing, including cable mapping, Vacuum Interrupter testing, and transformer testing.
  • Performing service work in Asset Diagnostics, such as condition assessments, partial discharge surveys, and data analysis/report writing.
  • Providing general support across the team and the business.

Requirements and Benefits

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • An electrical background essential (time-served Electrician).
  • Knowledge of HV electricity distribution and HV testing experience.
  • A full UK driving licence.
