Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our fostering service, you will play a vital role in supporting foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Key Responsibilities- Support foster carers to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Provide regular supervision to foster carers, ensuring they understand their role and responsibilities.
- Work in partnership with foster carers, children, and young people to identify their needs and develop personalized plans.
- Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with commissioning teams as required.
- Promote participation of children and young people in the development of our agency and their local community.
- Valid Social Work Registration or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away.
- Full driving license.
We offer a competitive salary, £30,338 - £41,052 per annum, dependent on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including a £2,000 car allowance, 30 days' annual leave, and life assurance.
