Quantity Surveyor (Public Sector) Job Opportunity

VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to provide Quantity Surveying Services and support the Contract Manager in managing Estates Measured Term and Term Service Building Maintenance and Minor Works Projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct desktop and site re-measurement audits of contractor accounts
  • Prepare minor capital works estimates for departments
  • Manage NEC4 TSC Contracts and MTC Contracts
  • Oversee commercial and contractual requirements throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Conduct cost and risk analysis
  • Review incoming correspondence from contractors, estate officers, and design teams to identify contractually critical items
  • Manage commercial aspects of contracts
  • Provide project costing
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience in preparing account valuations using published schedules of rates
  • Managing building maintenance NEC4 TSC/TSSC Contracts and/or GC Works 7 Measured Term Service Contracts
  • Preparing tender documentation
  • A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with 2 years' post-graduate experience

Alternatively, a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services or Civil Engineering with 2 years' post-graduate experience in building maintenance NEC4 TSC Contracts or GC Works 7 Measured Term Service Contracts may be considered. Associate Member of the RICS (AssocRICS) with 3 years' experience working within TSC Contracts or Chartered Quantity Surveyor may also be considered.

Remuneration: £40,428 per annum, plus discount benefits.
