The Royal Mail Group is a diverse and inclusive employer, passionate about our people representing the communities we serve. We are seeking a highly skilled Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Bristol Workshop.

This is a permanent contract with a competitive salary of £38,114 per annum, plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:30 - 22:00 shift. You will also receive additional weekend supplements on Saturday (£50 per shift) and may be eligible for a welcome bonus and extra holiday days.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing full range inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
  • Using your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
  • Having access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of experience working on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV/HGV, and hold a valid UK driving licence (manual).
