Electrical Control Systems Specialist

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join a Biomass Power Plant in the Scunthorpe area.
As an E,C&I Technician, you will form part of the maintenance team and be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance work on all electrical and C&I assets across the power station. This includes:
- Fault finding and repair work on motors, drives, switchgear, transformers, and C&I plant such as pressure, level, temperature, and flow sensors
- Working alongside other technicians and engineers to ensure accurate daily schedules are produced and worked to
- Assisting during site outages/shutdowns when required
This role offers a great opportunity for overtime and a competitive basic salary up to £44,000. Benefits include overtime pay, bonus opportunities, company pension, and private medical insurance.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A time served apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a similar field
- A relevant engineering qualification at HNC/ONC level or similar
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience with 3-phase motors, generators, switchgear, transmitters, sensors, and LV plant in a heavy engineering environment
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
