About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team at Avire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing emergency communication products that make a real difference in people's lives.

Working in a collaborative international environment, you will be part of small project teams formed from engineers based at our Maidenhead and Barcelona sites. You will play a critical role in investigating new technologies and developing our next-generation products and services.

As a Graduate Electronics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing products across the whole lifecycle of electronics to exploring new hardware platforms and software languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing products across the whole lifecycle of electronics, including hardware and firmware.
  • Writing embedded firmware in C on various microcontrollers, including Raspberry Pi, STM32, and PIC.
  • Exploring new hardware platforms and software languages for future applications.
  • Developing automated test scripts and interfacing with hardware using C# and Python.
  • Supporting the creation of a strong pipeline of ideas that solve real customer problems and pain points.
  • Working with the supply chain to ensure components and subcontract designs meet requirements.
  • Ensuring products are designed for manufacture and collaborating closely with production teams.
  • Supporting investigation of non-conformances and quality issues.
  • Managing and coordinating engineering change and maintaining a detailed design record.
