Electrical Design Engineer Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's design engineering centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver electrical design concepts and solutions for new product programmes.
  2. Lead electrical design and project activities to ensure QCD focused approach to product development.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain relevant engineering processes and procedures.
  4. Support business development activities and identify opportunities for growth.
  5. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Engineering team.
Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Electrical degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering design.
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior electrical design role.
  3. ECAD user with ability to create detailed schematic and harness drawings.
  4. Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills.
  5. Strong understanding of engineering organisations, support systems, and processes.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable:

  1. CEng or Masters' degree in electrical engineering.
  2. Membership of professional organisations.
  3. Experience in mobile off-highway or industrial products.
  4. Experience in the Automotive Industry.
  5. Experience in New Model Launch.
