Job Title: Renewable Energy Software Developer

Vantage Consulting is seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing control software and systems that power our renewable energy initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the design, development, and deployment of software for industrial control systems within renewable energy projects.
  2. Write, test, and maintain Python code to automate processes and enhance system performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and operations, to implement and troubleshoot control systems.
  4. Support the integration of ICS with renewable energy assets such as wind turbines, solar panels, and energy storage systems.
  5. Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting for system diagnostics, efficiency tracking, and predictive maintenance.
  6. Stay up to date with best practices in renewable energy systems, industrial automation, and control software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python; experience with other programming languages (e.g., C++, Java) is a plus.
  • Prior coursework, project experience, or internships involving industrial control systems, automation, or PLCs is desirable.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail, able to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
