Multidisciplinary Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multidisciplinary Engineer to join our Technical Services Department at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the resort's 32 rides and attractions, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability for our guests.

About the Role

As a Multidisciplinary Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preventative and corrective maintenance, conducting opening and closing checks, and participating in our annual winter maintenance program. You will work closely with our team to develop and improve reliability, safety, and ride availability, ensuring that all guests have the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs
• Conduct opening and closing checks to ensure ride safety and reliability
• Participate in our annual winter maintenance program to ensure all rides and attractions are in good working order
• Work closely with the team to develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the resort

Requirements

• ONC, NVQ level 3 or BTEC equivalent in engineering
• Post-apprenticeship experience, including inspection experience
• Full understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements, such as COSHH
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of work
• Ability to read and use engineering drawings
• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Previous work in a theme park environment is not essential, but engineering experience is required
