Job Description

We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist - International Development to join our team. As a key member of our External Engagement directorate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global communications strategy and engaging with media outlets to advance our mission.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in media engagement and public relations for not-for-profit organisations, social movements, research centres, or social enterprises, with a strong understanding of current affairs and girls' and women's rights.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement public relations risk assessments, and develop and implement response processes.
  • Manage our press office function and media inbox, managing and coordinating day-to-day media enquiries and responding to requests in coordination with internal teams.
Requirements
  • Professional experience in media engagement and public relations for not-for-profit organisations, social movements, research centres, or social enterprises.
  • Experience with media relations principles and practices, including experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists and global media outlets.
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of £32,600, rising on an annual incremental basis, plus a generous 10% pension.
