Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Surveyor to join our Land and Property team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Estates Team, you will be responsible for managing our diverse commercial estate, dealing with landlord and tenant matters, and providing expert advice on property acquisitions and disposals.
About the Role:
As Lead Commercial Surveyor, you will provide effective leadership and guidance on all property matters, undertake inspections of various types of land and property, and support and manage estate enquiries. You will also be responsible for managing a team of surveyors and land officers, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and identify risks and opportunities across the estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on property acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant issues, and general estate matters
- Lead and manage a team of surveyors and land officers
- Undertake inspections of various types of land and property
- Support and manage estate enquiries
- Manage a diverse commercial estate, including dealing with landlord and tenant matters
Requirements:
- MRICS qualified
- Demonstratable track record of managing estates or similar to a high standard
- Experience visiting and inspecting different types of land and property
- Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- People management experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management, sale, purchase, and leasing of land and property
