Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Surveyor to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Land and Property department, you will be responsible for managing our commercial estate, negotiating leases, and providing expert advice on property acquisitions and disposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse commercial estate, including negotiating leases and providing expert advice on property acquisitions and disposals.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance on all property matters, including estate management and landlord/tenant issues.
  • Undertake inspections of various types of land and property, and support the team in answering estate enquiries.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and identify risks and opportunities across the estate.
  • Manage and report on income and expenditure, and support the Senior Estates Manager in delivering financial targets and business strategy.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified
  • A demonstratable track record of managing estates, or similar, to a high standard
  • Experience visiting/inspecting different types of land and property
  • Excellent and demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • People management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management, sale, purchase and leasing of land and property
  • Extensive knowledge of regional property markets
  • A track record of delivering results against challenging financial targets
