We're seeking an experienced Independent Living Officer to join our Support Services team, delivering support to customers in their homes and the community. As a Housing Support Specialist, you'll provide housing-related support, advocate for customers, and empower them to sustain their independence.
About the role:
- Assess customer needs to ensure all needs can be met by the service.
- Complete comprehensive support plans for every customer, including budget management, benefits advice, and housing management.
- Undertake regular housing management tasks, such as identifying, reporting, and following up repairs.
About you:
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role, achieving successful outcomes in the delivery of services that meet customer needs.
- Experience of the social care sector and working with vulnerable people.
- Empathy and a good understanding of the issues faced by older and vulnerable customers.
