About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supportive Learning Facilitator to join our dynamic team at GSL Education. As a key member of our primary school team, you will be working on a 1-1 basis with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and creating an engaging learning environment.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources, ensuring a well-organized and effective learning space.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable.
  • A valid DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
