We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supportive Learning Facilitator to join our dynamic team at GSL Education. As a key member of our primary school team, you will be working on a 1-1 basis with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and creating an engaging learning environment.
- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources, ensuring a well-organized and effective learning space.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individualized education plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable.
- A valid DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
