Job Title: Site Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Site Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Duval Associates. As a Site Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out routine reactive and planned maintenance of site equipment, resolving process, equipment, or building issues that may arise, and undertaking electrical and mechanical maintenance on laboratory equipment, utilities plant, electrical systems, and lighting.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review and update maintenance policies and procedures
* Ensure planned maintenance is carried out according to a schedule, in a timely manner, and in accordance with relevant procedures
* Conduct frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no unplanned maintenance is required
* Complete emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
* Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs
* Manage the budget for the maintenance of equipment
* Keep a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out
* Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and maximise plant and equipment availability
* Ensure the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
* Liaise with external suppliers and contractors
* Manage site engineering projects
* Operate within a call-out rota for one week at a time on call 24/7 to respond to breakdowns, leaks, or alarms as required.

Requirements:
* HNC, City & Guilds, or time served Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
* 3 years+ experience in a facilities maintenance role
* Excellent fault-finding skills using root cause analysis
* Project management experience highly desirable
* In-depth knowledge of pneumatic & electrical systems including diagnostic fault-finding
* Must be able to attend to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
* Good knowledge of HVAC systems is highly desirable
* Fantastic communication skills for interacting with suppliers, overseeing projects, and managing budgets
