Key Responsibilities- Line management of research staff, including researchers and research nurses
- Project management and reporting, including budget management and design of studies
- Co-ordination of the work of research nurses and other team members
- Engagement with senior executives and healthcare teams to perform study set up at all sites
- Fieldwork oversight and ethics applications
- Collection of routine data across work-packages and delivery of presentations
- Liaison with the clinical trials unit in the delivery of the feasibility study and full trial
- Establishment and management of the patient panel and governance arrangements
- Experience in delivering research projects to time and budget, including experience in designing research studies at a strategic level
- Experience in writing for publication and producing other forms of written communication, including project reports
- Experience in managing research or clinical staff, including experience in managing research budgets
- Highly motivated with the ability to influence and inspire others, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide strategic leadership for the research programme and organisation and time management skills to manage and deliver a range of tasks and projects to tight deadlines
