Newly Qualified Nurse Opportunities

We are seeking newly qualified nurses to join our team in North Yorkshire, York, and Selby. As a newly qualified nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of patients, including those with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and older adults.

Our team provides a supportive and inclusive environment, with a focus on person-centered care. We offer a structured 18-month preceptorship program, which includes regular study days, mentoring, and support in practice.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals with learning disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. You will build meaningful relationships with clients and their families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care.

Main Duties

Our team provides a range of services, including adult mental health, children and young people services, mental health services for older people, and adult learning disabilities. As a newly qualified nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in one or more of these areas, depending on your interests and skills.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing person-centered care to patients with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and older adults
  • Working closely with individuals with learning disabilities to support them in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care
  • Participating in regular study days, mentoring, and support in practice as part of our structured 18-month preceptorship program

Person Specification

We are looking for newly qualified nurses who have:

  • Due to qualify as RNMH or RNLD current professional registration with NMC
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Key skills in literacy, numeracy, and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Experience

We are looking for newly qualified nurses who have experience working with people with mental ill health or learning disabilities.Knowledge

We are looking for newly qualified nurses who have evidenced-based knowledge of best practice in caring for patients in the designated field.
