Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in North Middlesex University Hospital. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation services.
Main Responsibilities- Assess the occupational needs of patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Conduct initial and standardized OT assessments, formulate client-centered goals, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment provision, and contribute to the development of OT service plans.
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, taking on the role of care coordinator and/or vocational lead where relevant.
- Develop and implement patient-centered individual and/or group interventions using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Monitor, evaluate, and modify treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
- Apply a high level of understanding of the effect of disability and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the client's social and physical environment.
- Relevant professional degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Relevant CPD courses.
- Ability to prioritize and organize own workload.
- Ability to problem-solve and use clinical reasoning for a complex caseload.
- Ability to reflect on and critically appraise own performance.
- Ability to delegate and support/supervise junior staff, including teaching and training.
We are part of North Central London integrated care system, working closely with partners and measuring financial and performance objectives at this system level. We are a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George's University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
