About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Capita Technology and Software Solutions. As a key member of our IT service desk, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our customers, ensuring that their desktop computers and peripherals are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, and remote desktop sessions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and software
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updating software and firmware, to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall service delivery
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of new technologies and trends in the IT industry

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a desktop support role, preferably in a large-scale IT environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service desk processes
