We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout our premises.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake scheduled and allocated BMRs via our Jira ticketing system, ensuring timely communication with internal customers.
- Accurately record tasks in line with cleaning schedule matrix, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Clean and maintain warehouse/production/mezzanine floors, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness of production areas, including production offices, lab areas, and workshops.
- Keep gangways and fire exits clear of obstructions, maintaining a safe and accessible environment.
- Clean and tidy the front and rear of the factory, including the waste bin area, designated smoking area, and extractor fans.
- Collect and dispose of external waste and debris, including scrap pallets.
- Maintain the car park and outside areas of all units, ensuring a safe, clean, and tidy state.
- Monitor and empty recycling sacks/bins in office and warehouses, ensuring correct waste segregation.
- Responsible for maintaining general housing keeping in rest areas, including daily monitoring of refreshments in the main canteen and keeping containers clean and hygienic.
- Previous experience in a factory or warehouse-based environment.
- Ability to use basic tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
- Ability to work under own initiative with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate pride in work and a flexible approach.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable team player willing to work towards shared goals.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new tasks.
