Aerospace Design Engineer

We are seeking an early career engineer to join our BGS EASA Modifications Team. As a Part 21J Cabin Interiors Design & Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development of innovative aerospace designs and modifications. This includes creating detailed design documentation, participating in certification projects, and providing technical support to production and testing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Engineering: Develop innovative aerospace designs and modifications, including CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Certification Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with EASA/FAA regulations and Part 21J DOA requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to production, testing, and maintenance teams, including troubleshooting design and certification issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design and certification processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of aerospace design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
- Basic knowledge of EASA/FAA regulations and certification processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Authorisation:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in either the UK or Ireland. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the UK or Ireland. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.
