About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioners, with opportunities to work across both Raigmore and National Treatment Centre – Highland (NTC-H) sites.

The successful applicants will have acute hospital experience at advanced practice level and have achieved appropriate Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice, enabling competence in clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, anatomy and pathophysiology, non-medical prescribing, leading, delivering and evaluating care, and practice learning/transferable work-based learning.

Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is desirable for shifts within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, however is essential for NTC-H.

The ANP Lead/Practice Development Nurse will provide support to the successful applicants, and consideration will be given to learning and development needs required of this post, which are not necessary in the candidate's substantive post.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour cover across all acute inpatient wards, excluding level 2/3 areas within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness and NTC-H.
  • Work collaboratively with the ANP team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain skills in advanced practice, including clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, and non-medical prescribing.
  • Contribute to the development of the ANP service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
