We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our experienced clinical and management team in Blackpool Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
As a Consultant in Child Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health issues.
You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team, comprising of Psychologists, Nurses, Family Therapists, Senior CAMHS Practitioners, Primary Mental Health Workers, Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, and Assistant Practitioners, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Our CAMHS services are part of the Families Division within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which includes all hospital and community-based children's healthcare services across the area.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health issues.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to CAMHS.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care and support for children and adolescents.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work as a Consultant in Child Psychiatry.
- Meet the requirements as noted in the person specification (Appendix 1) and other employment checks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
