Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity in CAMHS

We are seeking two Consultant Psychiatrists to join our well-established community children and young people's mental health service in Blackpool. The posts are full-time and offer a range of benefits, including a Recruitment & Retention Premia and flexible working arrangements.

The postholders will be leading members of our team and will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.

Main Duties

The successful candidates will be responsible for leading and developing our CAMHS service, working closely with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to provide high-quality care to children and young people. They will also be expected to participate in the Consultant On Call rota and contribute to the development of our service.

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and young people with mental health needs
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide emergency care as needed
  • Contribute to the development of our CAMHS service and implement changes to improve patient outcomes
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months
  • Section 12 approval or within 3 months
  • AC status or within 3 months
Experience
  • Knowledge, skills and experience appropriate to this post
