About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Training Programme Director for Paediatrics. This is a key leadership role within NHS England, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality training programmes for paediatricians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of paediatric training programmes, ensuring alignment with national standards and NHS England's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Postgraduate Dean and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a wide range of functions within the specialty, including education, research, and quality improvement.
  • Manage and support a team of professionals, including clinical and educational leaders, to achieve the goals of the training programme.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, educational institutions, and professional bodies.
  • Ensure that the training programme is responsive to the needs of the NHS and the wider healthcare system, and that it contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Hold a Fellowship of a relevant professional association or body.
  • Have experience of working in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare education setting.
  • Have a strong understanding of paediatric training and education, including the curriculum, assessment, and quality improvement.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a track record of delivering high-quality education and training programmes.
