Piping Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Pipework Contracts Manager to join our Operations team in Grimsby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction of specific jobs and projects, ensuring consistency with our company strategy, objectives, and goals.

You will be responsible for retaining existing and developing new business opportunities to provide a continuous pipeline of revenue for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project requirements
  2. Proactively seek new business opportunities to drive growth and sustainability
  3. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  4. Provide clear direction on project quality requirements
  5. Manage quotations and estimates for work scopes, defining resource requirements
  6. Lead the planning and implementation of work scopes
  7. Liaise with the team to assemble and coordinate project staff
  8. Manage project budget, ensuring accurate accounting, costing, and billing
  9. Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and manage project change
  10. Provide direction and support to project team and report progress
  11. Assist in recruiting and managing specialists and sub-contractors
  12. Produce risk assessments, method statements, and quality plans
Key Skills:
  1. Strong background in piping fabrication and installation
  2. Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  3. Evidence of work winning
  4. Proven track record of securing a new client base and managing an existing client portfolio
  5. Demonstrable experience in producing estimates and negotiating orders
  6. Strong Health & Safety and Quality ethic
  7. Flexibility to navigate ambiguity and effectively manage changing priorities
  8. Excellent time management, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to recognise customer requirements
  10. Good planning and analytical skills, assertive and articulate
