About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Animal Management Instructor to join our team at Windsor Forest Colleges Group. As an Animal Management Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to our students, focusing on animal management courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver animal management courses, ensuring that students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers.
  • Supervise students on the Animal Centre, ensuring their safety and well-being while they carry out practical tasks and duties.
  • Lead the development, monitoring, and assessment of practical skills, working closely with lecturers and technicians to deliver units and professional development sessions.
  • Support the management of the animals' welfare and daily care, ensuring that the highest standards of animal welfare are maintained.
  • Contribute to the development of the animal management curriculum, working closely with colleagues to ensure that our courses are relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • Experience of delivering animal management courses, with a strong understanding of animal welfare and behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality education and training, with a focus on student-centered learning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in animal management and education.
