Chief Operating Officer

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer to drive production excellence and lead operational strategies for our esteemed client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire value chain, from order input to production, fulfillment, finance, and accounts.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Chief Operating Officer or equivalent role, with experience in managing IT programmers/teams, technical agencies, and logistics operations. A solid background in project management, strategic planning, budgeting, and business development is essential.
The COO will take ownership of the company's IT Network, System ERP, CRM, factory production workflow, order management, API, and EDI setup with retailers. They will also oversee the accounts systems and outside web agencies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing operational business strategies, plans, and procedures
- Measuring effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally, finding ways to improve processes
- Responsible for operational effectiveness of the company's production units, supporting and adding value, delivering & driving systems and production workflow enhancements
- Manage company.NET programmers/contractors, IT network support personnel & overseeing IT agencies including those that run e-commerce platforms
- Responsible for company ERP system (Access Supply chain) and ensuring fully utilised to maximum effect
- Motivate staff to meet or surpass organisational and sales goals
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
RequirementsThe successful candidate will possess:
- Highly self-motivated, with the desire to succeed and add value
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
- Experience of managing IT programmers/teams, and technical agencies
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Demonstrable competency in project management, strategic planning, budgeting and business development
- Solid background of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Strong knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent written and interpersonal, and public speaking skills
- Exceptional aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Strong experience with Production and understanding of everyday shop floor issues and limitations
- Logistics knowledge and experience of drop ship operations
