About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Skills Coach to join our team at Pearson. As a Business Skills Coach, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality training programs that develop Apprentices' knowledge, skills, and behaviors as required for their Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver individualized training programs that support Apprentices' journeys in relation to the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for their program.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Apprentices, arranging visits to develop workplace knowledge, skills, and behaviors as part of the apprenticeship.
  • Observe Apprentices in the workplace and/or virtually against criteria laid down by the relevant awarding body, providing feedback as appropriate.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor Apprentice development and generate evidence towards the qualification/end-point assessment within set timeframes.
  • Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to Apprentices in relation to their qualification and/or Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions to coach Apprentices in business skills, supporting and developing skills, knowledge, and behaviors to successfully gain the qualification/Apprenticeship.
  • Ensure strong knowledge, skills, and behaviors are acquired to enable high levels of success for Apprentices at end-point assessment.
  • Carry out formal progress reviews with Apprentices, completing paperwork and administration within agreed timescales.
  • Track and report progress of planned learning, maintaining records throughout the learner journey, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, and other regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Qualified trainer and assessor with training and delivery experience within the apprenticeship business skills sector.
  • Industry competence and experience in a business skills role.
  • Proficient in managing learners and caseloads effectively.
  • Utilizes technology adeptly to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Can consistently demonstrate operating as an outstanding or minimum good trainer/assessor, through previous OTLA and standardization observations.
  • Proven ability to work in a target-driven environment with a track record in successfully achieving targets.
  • Excellent written skills to enable detailed feedback and target setting of objectives.
