About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Junior Buyer to join our team at the Hyde Group, a leading engineering company in the high-tech sector. As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing component parts and raw materials to support our manufacturing processes, managing supplier relationships, and driving supplier performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Purchasing administration, including raising POs and MRP requisitions.
  • Managing supplier relationships, including evaluating and driving supplier performance.
  • Chasing order acknowledgments and progressing on delivery times.
  • Running production shortage reports and liaising with departments.
  • Actioning reschedule requisites and bid support, including managing requests for quotations.

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong telephone manner and efficient time management.
