Rehabilitation Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Engineer to join our Kent Wheelchair Service team at Ross Care. As a Rehabilitation Engineer, you will play a vital role in assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the mobility needs of service users and prescribe appropriate wheelchairs and accessories.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide clinical and technical guidance to colleagues.
  • Work with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality service performance.
  • Liaise with service user groups and stakeholders to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes.
  • Provide support for internal and external training programmes.
  • Undertake and document risk assessments and corresponding risk management.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a posture and mobility service or similar field.
  • Knowledge of manual and powered wheelchairs, and associated accessories.
  • Ability to use digital systems and software for record-keeping and analysis.
  • Full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle.
