Job Title: Trainer - Children's Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trainer to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Trainer, you will play a crucial role in delivering and enhancing training programs within our children's residential services.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within residential children's services and will be responsible for training, educating, and upskilling both new and existing staff. You will work closely with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training that is both practical and aligned with current standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the L&D team to design and deliver training that meets the specific needs of our staff.
  • Utilise your personal experience in residential children's services to provide relevant and impactful training.
  • Ensure all training sessions are organised, well-presented, and run smoothly.
  • Manage the assessment and evaluation of training programs, providing feedback to enhance the effectiveness of future sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all training delivered using the Myrus system.
  • Stay informed about new legislation and best practices in the field, ensuring all training content is up-to-date and compliant.
  • Act as a Subject Lead in a specific area of expertise, collaborating with services to promote safe and effective practices.
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal and professional conduct, ensuring health and safety compliance in all training activities.
  • Ensure all training programs reinforce CareTech's values, promoting equality, diversity, and excellence in service provision.
Requirements:
  • In-depth understanding of good practice, current legislation, and policy trends in Health and Social Care, particularly within children's residential services.
  • Expertise in mandatory training subjects relevant to residential care.
  • Familiarity with a range of approaches to learning activities and best practices in L&D.
  • Understanding of theory and best practice in learning and development and pertaining to children's residential services.
  • Relevant qualifications within the mandatory subject area.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
