About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Morrisons. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our nut processing department, ensuring that our high standards for product quality, food safety, and efficiency are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the nut processing department, ensuring efficient production and adherence to strict quality and food safety standards
  • Monitor KPIs, set performance targets, review progress, and implement action plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain industry-leading standards
  • Effectively communicate goals and ensure alignment with the company's broader objectives
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the nut processing line and implement strategies to drive continuous enhancements in both processes and product quality
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance to foster professional growth
Requirements:
  • Proven management experience within a large-scale food manufacturing operation, ideally with knowledge of the Nut category
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive results through team management
  • Effective problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make swift, impactful decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to provide clear direction and feedback
  • A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
