Principal Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team in London. As a key member of our offshore wind consultancy, you will lead medium to complex projects, managing technical and scheduling aspects with significant authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams, overseeing technical and scheduling aspects.
  • Manage project deliverables, resources, and schedules.
  • Supervise design calculations and analysis per international codes and standards.
  • Lead and manage engineers and drafting teams to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform and lead concept and detailed design for fixed and floating offshore structures.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure engineering integrity, manage change, and oversee real-time scheduling and forecasts.
  • Control project budgets and handle change management.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews, audits, and engineering evaluations.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and satisfaction.
  • Mentor and train subordinates, and onboard new personnel for engineering and design tasks.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Quality & HSE standards across projects and operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering, Chartered engineer status, and 10+ years of experience in offshore structures. Strong leadership, project management, and client relations skills are essential. Proficiency in engineering software and detail-oriented, client-focused, and proactive approach are also required.
