Electrical Installation Educator

DN Colleges Group is seeking a skilled Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our team of educators. As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and developing further education courses in Electrical Installation, ensuring the achievement of learning and teaching goals.

The successful candidate will manage classrooms, prepare engaging lessons, and assess student progress. You will also contribute to curriculum development, programme management, and student recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Prepare learning materials, mark assignments, and ensure learning goals are met.
  • Programme Management: Contribute to quality assurance, student guidance, and administration.
  • Teaching: Manage the classroom environment, teach various courses, and assess students.
  • Student Recruitment: Recruit and select students, meeting enrolment targets.
  • Professional Development: Participate in staff development activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge in your specialist area.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional technical qualification (minimum Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
  • Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.
  • Substantial industrial experience in the curriculum area.
  • Strong commitment to quality assurance and enhancement.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Teaching Qualification.
  • Knowledge of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
  • Understanding of Further and/or Higher Education funding mechanisms.
  • Experience teaching in an FE setting.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Experience with internal quality processes and procedures.
