DN Colleges Group is seeking a skilled Lecturer in Electrical Installation to teach and inspire the next generation of engineers. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality further education courses, developing curriculum content, and leading programmes of study. Your expertise will help shape the learning experience for our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

We have vacancies based at either Doncaster College or North Lindsey College (Scunthorpe). As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing excellent education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Create engaging learning materials, assess student progress, and ensure learning goals are met.
  • Programme Management: Contribute to quality assurance, student guidance, and administration, ensuring a smooth learning experience.
  • Teaching: Manage the classroom environment, teach various courses, and assess students, providing constructive feedback.
  • Student Recruitment: Recruit and select students, meeting enrolment targets and promoting our programmes.
  • Professional Development: Participate in staff development activities, maintaining up-to-date knowledge in your specialist area and contributing to the college's growth.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional technical qualification (minimum Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
  • Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.
  • Substantial industrial experience in the curriculum area.
  • A strong commitment to quality assurance and enhancement.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A teaching qualification.
  • Knowledge of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
  • An understanding of Further and/or Higher Education funding mechanisms.
  • Experience teaching in an FE setting.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Experience with internal quality processes and procedures.
