About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computational Modelling Research Scientist to join our team at The Francis Crick Institute. As a key member of our research group, you will play a critical role in developing mathematical and computational models to study spatial immune microenvironments and response to immunotherapy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in maths, engineering, physics, or computer science and experience in data analysis and programming languages such as Python, C++, or Matlab. You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and multidisciplinary team.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that conducts innovative research in cancer biology and immunology. Our team has a strong focus on translational research, working closely with clinicians and researchers to develop new treatments for cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead your project on the development of mathematical and computational models to study spatial immune microenvironments and response to immunotherapy.\
  • Manage collaboration with other group members and collaborators working on spatial biology and multimodal data integration.\
  • Regular meetings with senior researchers to discuss research plans and progress.\
  • Presentation of research at relevant conferences and events.\
  • Engaging in relevant programme workflows with academic, NHS, and industry partners.
