Power Platform Lead Job Description

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Power Platform Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance, design, and deployment of Power Platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and evolve Power Platform governance, including application life cycle management, development standards, guidelines, and guardrails.
  • Work with the Global Architecture team to identify opportunities to extend the Power Platform toolset and components to meet business requirements.
  • Provide design assurance for visualizations built by product development teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with Microsoft releases and identify opportunities to leverage within the business.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerBI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Experience developing new PowerApps model and canvas-driven apps, as well as enhancing existing apps, including the use of Dataverse as a data source.
  • Able to automate business processes with Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with API or Rest services integrations.
  • Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources.
  • Providing Power BI reports and dashboards development and support.
  • Good solid understanding of creating SQL Server database tables and stored procedures.
  • Experience working on agile projects.
  • Great communication skills and ability to tailor your message and language to the audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex business requirements into solid advice.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, multi-functional teams within the organization and its ecosystem.
  • Demonstrable working experience in a business analyst/software engineering/technical engineer position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified and/or undergraduate degree in a related field.
