About the Role
The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play a vital role in providing companionship to someone we support in Bristol, spending quality time with them, and engaging in activities they enjoy. These may include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, or playing board games.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide kind, empathetic, and friendly support to individuals in their homes.
- Develop a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting with the people we support.
- Be punctual and reliable in visiting individuals and engaging in activities.
- Understand and adhere to our data protection and confidentiality procedures.
Requirements
- Be over the age of 18 to apply for this role.
- Undergo a DBS check and provide two satisfactory references.
- Complete safeguarding training and any role-specific training.
