Technical Director Job Description

Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead their EIA team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Environmental Statements
  • Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans and Pollution Prevention Plans
  • Lead the development of Site Specific Surface Water Management Plans and Environmental Compliance Plans
  • Manage and track project development, including frequent meetings with clients
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in a related discipline, including Geography, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management
  • Proven experience working for a UK-based consultancy, managing EIAs and mentoring team members
  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental compliance, water resources, and hydrology
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
