Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mixed primary and secondary SEN school in Darwen. The successful candidate will provide academic support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs, building positive relationships and encouraging pupil engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Support the general class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Provide feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
  • Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development through the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • No specific qualifications necessary.
  • Care/support/health background is desirable.
  • Options for temp to perm available.
  • PAYE Contract.
  • £12.90+ per hour depending on additional duties and experience.
