Lead CAS Modeller

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CAS Modeller to join our team at a leading OEM in Coventry. As a key member of our vehicle concepts group, you will be responsible for creating and releasing surfaces that capture design intent.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Interior and Exterior Surfacing Managers by effectively managing project inputs and outputs
- Provide strategic guidance to the Interior and Exterior CAS teams on behalf of the Surfacing Managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall project goal
- Create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent, with a focus on aesthetic optimization and high-quality execution
- Assist the creative process by interpreting 2D sketches into 3D data for design iteration and approval
- Sketch 3D Surfaces to aid aesthetic Design development
- Create initial theme proposals to support aesthetic and feasibility studies
- Create surfaces of themes for engineering feasibility verification
- Create surface release for design approval
- Create surface release that provide foundation for production surfacing activity
- Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in creative & technical digital surface creation using Alias
- Proven experience as an CAS Modeller
- Experience of working with engineering inputs
- Ability to interpret design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals
- Can plan time to meet given deadlines
