About the Role

Shaw Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Support Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with multiple barriers to employment, helping them to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants, providing vocational profiling and action planning to support their employment goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers, community stakeholders, and other organizations to create opportunities for participants.
  • Provide in-work support to participants, identifying and overcoming barriers to employment and ensuring sustained employment outcomes.
  • Supervise and guide volunteers to provide additional support to participants, creating a 'circle of support'.
  • Ensure the use of Time Credits as a tool to engage and develop participants through volunteering in the local community.
  • Manage administrative procedures, prioritizing and producing records and reports to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local labor market, training opportunities, and relevant support agencies.
  • Provide a quality service that meets contractual requirements, encouraging client feedback and user involvement.
Requirements
  • Strong track record in exceeding targets and KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Able to broker and sustain effective working relationships with employers and community stakeholders.
  • Independent caseload management, with the ability to manage a complex caseload of participants.
  • Local area expertise, with knowledge of services and employers in the community.
  • Motivational skills, with the ability to work well in a team and stay focused under pressure.
  • Ability to travel regularly to support participants, with effective diary management.
