Role Overview:
Ribbons & Reeves is partnering with a high-achieving Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham to find an exceptional Head of Humanities. This permanent role starts in September 2024, offering a competitive MPS/UPS Inner London salary with negotiable TLR.

In this position, you will lead the collaborative department, preparing and assessing teaching sessions while maintaining awareness of curriculum developments. You will build relationships with students, creating an environment that encourages their interest and participation in education. Your responsibilities include delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level, covering at least two Humanities subjects up to KS5.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a Humanities subject from a top UK university, QTS gained through PGCE/Teach First/SCITT, and a proven background in teaching Humanities subjects. Knowledge of current education issues and practice is essential.
