About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with complex 275kV or 400kV circuit breakers, transformers, high speed on load tap changers, and cable systems. You will be responsible for installation, refurbishment, maintenance, fault investigation, and repair of substation plant and equipment.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Level 2/3 recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering OR an NVQ/Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant fitting experience.
- Good all-round engineering skills, including working to safety procedures, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, working at height, lifting operations, panel wiring, and fault finding.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability to use a computer.
- Residency in Swansea or nearby surrounding areas due to the nature of our work.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £38,568 per annum, which includes a starting salary of £36,774 plus a seasonal working allowance of £1,794. Additionally, you will enjoy:

- 37 hours Monday – Friday, with weekends free.
- 26 days holiday plus 8 statutory days.
