Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Customer-Focused Supply Chain Specialist to join our team, aimed at enhancing sales for the Hovis portfolio within the Morrisons estate.

The selected candidate will collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at Hovis and Morrisons, utilizing data and systems to make informed decisions that optimize sales and product availability in Morrisons stores.

This position will be based at Morrisons Head Office with a hybrid working arrangement, collaborating with both Hovis and Morrisons Supply Chain Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance product availability and minimize waste through the utilization of Morrisons replenishment and reporting systems.
  • Ensure maximum availability of all Hovis products while keeping waste within acceptable limits.
  • Address any issues impacting product availability or supply to Morrisons.
  • Identify lost sales opportunities and work with the relevant Morrisons category team to implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, manage forecast accuracy, and adjust stock allocations as necessary, sharing updates with the Hovis demand planning team.
  • Organize and participate in range and performance meetings with the Senior Category Demand Planner.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with management and the Morrisons Supply Chain Category Demand Manager to align on future objectives.
  • Manage promotional, seasonal, and event-related activities.
  • Consult on and coordinate additional value-adding initiatives with the agreement of the Morrisons Supply Chain Category Demand Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for their work and the brand, demonstrating ownership and the ability to influence various stakeholders effectively.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A-Level education or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer use with a focus on accurate data entry.
  • Excellent grammar and writing abilities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative to drive improvements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with retail metrics such as demand, waste, and availability.
  • Experience in data management and analysis, particularly with Excel or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change among stakeholders.
