About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Stores Assistant to join our team at Gwent Police, based at the Cwmbran Police Station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and manage evidential property, ensuring it is retained or disposed of in accordance with force policy and legislation.
  • Collate items for central disposal, including sale via eBay or Wilson's Auction.
  • Highlight exhibits incorrectly packaged and report to the EPU Lead.
  • Store items identified for return to owners and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with force operating procedures for equipment operation and report incidents to the Property Project Co-Ordinator.
  • Identify and report instances of risk from hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five grade A-C GCSE's or equivalent minimum standards.
  • Previous experience in a secure stores environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel independently and drive Force vehicles.
  • Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy items up to 15 kilos.
