Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Hydrogeologist to join our Water Management Consultancy team. As a key member of our groundwater resources team, you will lead projects and develop trusted client relationships, championing high standards of performance and influencing project development.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead groundwater projects through the project life-cycle, from problem definition to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and drawing succinct conclusions and recommendations.
  • Work closely with our technical specialists to deliver a range of projects relating to water supply, strategic planning, resource optimisation, and environmental assessment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the groundwater resources team to develop and implement innovative approaches to groundwater management.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • Chartered hydrogeologist with a degree in science, engineering, or mathematics and a post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related subject.
  • Substantial experience as a hydrogeologist in consultancy, water company, regulatory, or academic fields, with a strong understanding of UK hydrogeology and the environmental and regulatory framework of UK water management.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing, and presentational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Valid full UK driving license.
