Virtual School Head Teacher

We are seeking an experienced Head Teacher to lead our MOD Virtual School, providing strategic direction and ensuring the educational and welfare needs of military children in non-DCS schools are met.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior leaders across DCS, EWOs, and education organisations to ensure the safety and education of military children overseas.
- Lead the MOD VS team, setting the strategic direction and developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Work with partners to develop plans and programmes of support for Service children in non-DCS schools.
- Ensure referrals to supporting agencies are made in a timely manner, and liaise closely with other teams to provide a 'joined-up' service for Service families.
We require a confident, strategic leader with a proven record of success, able to bring together expertise and practical delivery focus. You will have excellent skills in teamwork and diplomacy, influencing other stakeholders to secure the best outcomes for children.
You will have substantial current or previous senior level experience in improving outcomes for children and young people in an education or local authority setting, and an understanding of the range of learning opportunities designed to re-engage young people.
